नैसर्गिक संपदेचे संरक्षण तसेच संवर्धन हा या युगातील राष्ट्रीय मुद्दा राहिला नसून तो कधीचाच आंतर्राष्ट्रीय झालेला आहे, वने नैसर्गिक स्त्रोतांचा अविभाज्य भाग असून त्यास अनन्यसाधारण असे महत्व आहे. दिवसागणिक होणारा पर्यावरणीय बदल व त्यावरील आधुनिक उपाययोजना म्हणून कार्बन sequestation करणे यात वनांचा मोलाचा वाटा आहे. राज्यातील विपुल आणि संपन्न जैवविविधता व तिचे संवर्धन करण्याचे दृष्टीने वन विभागाने नीतिगत धोरण अवलबून अंमलबाजवणी करण्याचा निर्णय घेतलेला आहे. निसर्ग पर्यटनाचे माध्यमातून वन्यजीवांचे शास्वत व्यवस्थापन करणे अपेक्षित आहे. काष्ठ तसेच अकाष्ठ वनोपाजांचे उत्पादन व व्यवस्थान शास्त्रीय दृष्टीकोणातून करणे, तसेच संयुक्त वन व्यवस्थापनाचे माध्यमातून नैसर्गिक स्त्रोतांचे या शिवाय वनांवर अवलंबून असलेल्याचे जीवनमान उंचावण्याचे दृष्टीने सतत प्रयत्नरत राहणे अत्यावशक असून तसा प्रयत्न वनविभागामार्फत करणे अपेक्षित आहे. बांबू तसेच इतर वनोपजांवर आधारित मूल्यवर्धित वस्तु, स्थानिक हस्त कारागीर, मजूर यांचे राहणीमान उंचावण्याचे दृष्टीने प्रयत्न करणे प्रस्तावित आहे. एवढेच नव्हे तर भोगौलिक क्षेत्राच्या 33% टक्के वनाच्छादन करण्याकरिता प्राधान्य देण्याचे शासनाचे धोरण आहे. आधुनिक युगात माहिती तंत्रज्ञान सारख्या अत्याधुनिक तंत्राचा वापर करून e- governnace चे माध्यमातून प्रशासन अधिक गतिमान व लोकाभिमुख करण्याचा शासनाचा मानस आहे.

The protection and conservation of natural resources is no longer a national issue of this age but has never been internationalized. Forests are an integral part of natural resources and have a unique significance. Forests play a vital role in ensuring carbon sequestration as a result of day-to-day environmental change and modern solutions. The Forest Department has decided to implement the policy in view of the rich and rich biodiversity of the state and its conservation. Sustainable management of wildlife is expected through nature tourism. To produce and manage timber as well as non-timber forest products from a scientific point of view In addition, it is imperative to make continuous efforts to improve the quality of life of those who depend on forests for their natural resources through joint forest management. It is proposed to try to uplift the living standards of local artisans, laborers, value added items based on bamboo and other forest products. Not only this, it is the policy of the government to give priority to forest cover of 33% of the geographical area. In the modern age, the government intends to make the administration more dynamic and people-oriented through e-governance using state-of-the-art technology like information technology.
